Overview

The Firm is aware that litigation is sometimes inevitable as has an established Dispute Resolution Department. The Department focuses on representing clients’ interests in court as well as Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADRs) such as arbitration, mediation, conciliation and adjudication. The Firm ensures that disputes are resolved speedily bearing in mind the need for our clients to be free from strains of litigation and avoid huge costs attendant with prolonged dispute resolution. Before proceeding with filing or defending a matter, we offer the client a proper legal opinion on whether the client’s money, time and resources will best be resolved through the court system or other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

The Firm has experience in successfully representing clients’ interests at the Small Claims Court, the Magistracy Court, the High Court, the specialized courts (Employment and Labour Relations Court and the Environment and Land Court), the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. We have also represented clients in specialized Tribunals including but not limited to the National Environment Tribunal, Business Premises Rent Tribunal, the Rent Restriction Tribunal, Cooperative Tribunal, the Sports Dispute Tribunal, Legal Education Appeals Tribunal, the Competition Tribunal, Transport Licensing Appeals Tribunal, Water Tribunal, Tax Appeals Tribunals, Communications and Multimedia Tribunal, Public Procurement Administrative Review Board and the HIV/Aids Tribunal.
